Customer messages include:
- Opt-in confirmation after verbal consent is given
- Appointment confirmations with job detail links
- Photo upload requests for the technician
- Job status updates (confirmation, cancellation, rejection)
- Message frequency: Varies based on appointment activity (typically 1–3 messages per appointment).
- Msg & data rates may apply.
- To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a single confirmation reply and no further messages will be sent.
- To get help, reply HELP to any message or email [email protected].
Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All customer messages are transactional and appointment-related only.
All SMS messages are sent via Twilio, Inc. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Google Calendar Integration
If you connect your Google Calendar, you authorize RingAssist to:
- Read your calendar events to check your availability and avoid scheduling conflicts
- Create calendar events when our AI books an appointment with a caller on your behalf
We will only access calendar data as necessary to perform these scheduling functions. You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your account settings or via your Google Account permissions page. Disconnecting will stop all calendar reads and writes; previously created events will not be deleted.
9. Call Handling and Answering Service
When callers reach your RingAssist number, their call may be answered by our automated answering service or by a team member, depending on your account configuration and availability settings. Our answering service conducts conversations with callers to gather job details, screen for spam, and schedule appointments on your behalf. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Our answering service acts as your designated representative when handling calls to your RingAssist number.
- Information gathered during calls (caller name, phone number, job details, location, timeline, budget) is collected on your behalf and delivered to you via the RingAssist dashboard and notifications.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the business information, screening questions, and scheduling preferences you configure in your account.
10. Call Recording and Consent
Our service records calls to provide transcripts, lead summaries, and service delivery. A recording disclosure is played at the beginning of each call handled by our service.
Your Responsibilities
You acknowledge and agree to the following regarding call recording:
- Federal law: Under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2511), call recording requires the consent of at least one party. As the RingAssist account holder, you provide one-party consent for calls made to your RingAssist number.
- All-party consent states: Several states require the consent of all parties on a call before recording. These include California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Washington. RingAssist plays a recording disclosure at the start of each call to help satisfy these requirements.
- Your obligation: You are responsible for understanding and complying with the call recording laws applicable in your state and in the states where your callers are located. If you operate in or receive calls from an all-party consent state, continued use of the call after the recording disclosure constitutes the caller's implied consent under most state frameworks. However, some states may require explicit verbal consent.
- Disabling recording: If you are unable to comply with applicable recording laws, you should contact us to discuss options for your account.
RingAssist is not responsible for your failure to comply with applicable call recording laws in your jurisdiction.
11. Intellectual Property
RingAssist and its content, features, and functionality are owned by RingAssist and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RingAssist shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or business opportunities.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold RingAssist harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.
15. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
